Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training Specialist

About the Role
CAE is seeking a highly experienced Military Training Expert to join our team and contribute to the development and validation of cutting-edge training systems for remotely piloted aircraft (RPAs). You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our synthetic training devices meet the rigorous demands of military operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the verification and validation (V&V) process for synthetic training devices, encompassing all phases from design to deployment.
- Develop comprehensive Training & Mission Test Procedures, scenarios, and lesson plans aligned with customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams (software and hardware) throughout the project lifecycle, providing expert insights and guidance.
- Conduct rigorous testing of simulators to ensure they adhere to design specifications, customer expectations, training objectives, and regulatory standards.
- Support customer acceptance testing and device qualification by relevant governmental authorities.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by providing technical expertise to potential customers and assisting with bid proposals.
- Proactively identify and resolve defects during the project execution process, minimizing risks and ensuring timely delivery.
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations to the project team for continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience as a remotely piloted aircraft operator, ideally possessing expertise in:
- Operating MALE armed RPAS systems.
- Recent operational experience in maritime and land domains.
- Advanced sensor knowledge, including EO/IR, Maritime radar, Signal Intelligence, and Electronic Support Measures.
- Military instructional background.
A strong technical foundation, prior exposure to simulation, experience with training needs analysis, crew training expertise, Test & Evaluation experience, knowledge of armament, simulator qualification requirements, and associated aircrew training/testing/checking credits are highly desirable.
