GIS Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at the County of Grande Prairie No. 1. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our GIS applications, assisting in various projects, and performing spatial/traditional data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain online web mapping services and applications using ArcGIS Enterprise tools.
- Develop data automations using FME, Python, SQL, and other tools.
- Perform GIS-related duties as part of the Emergency Command Centre (ECC).
- Develop and maintain maps, apps, dashboards, and reports.
- Assist with developing and documenting workflows for GIS processes.
- Assist with developing and maintaining data standards.
- Assist with the administration of cloud-based applications, such as ArcGIS Online.
- Design and build solutions for business problems using ESRI products.
- Adhere to organizational best practices and established standards.
- Collect, process, and maintain spatial data.
- Provide training, advice, and support to staff, Council, and the public.
- Degree or diploma in Geographic Information Systems or a closely related field.
- Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification is an asset.
- ESRI Certifications are an asset (Foundation, Associate, Professional).
- Minimum of two (2) years recent experience working in GIS.
- Experience working on GIS projects independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous municipal experience is an asset.

This permanent full-time position entails a 35-hour workweek, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 4:30, with some overtime as required.
