Required Qualifications:
- Diploma graduate from an accredited college or nursing program, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., RPN certificate with additional coursework in medication administration, phlebotomy, and health assessment).
- Current certification or eligibility for certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario is mandatory.
- Completion of a physical assessment course is preferred.
- Experience in obstetrics is essential.
- An obstetrical certificate from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
- Completion of a breastfeeding course is preferred.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program is required.
- Previous experience in providing educational support to patients and families is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities are necessary.
- Strong focus on patient and family-centered care and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Ability to work various shifts is essential.
- A positive attendance and work record is crucial.
