Position Overview: Business Systems AnalystKey ResponsibilitiesThe role of the Business Systems Analyst is crucial in our client's operational workflow. This position leverages analytical, technical, and organizational expertise to facilitate, influence, and contribute to the identification, design, and execution of business and systems solutions. The Business Systems Analyst serves as the primary point of contact between the client’s business stakeholders—including leaders, the business community, end-users, external partners, and subject matter experts—and the Production department, managing project scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:·Identifying user business needs and uncovering hidden market opportunities.·Proactively engaging with all project stakeholders to gather and articulate business, functional, non-functional, technical, implementation, and other requirements.·Documenting requirements in a structured and traceable manner.·Managing and communicating requirements to all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.·Defining and overseeing all change management and control activities relevant to project scope and requirements.·Contributing to and leading user acceptance testing and test planning.Essential Skills·Proven knowledge and experience in all facets of business and systems analysis:üBusiness analysis planning and oversightüElicitationüManaging and communicating requirementsüEnterprise analysisüRequirements analysisüSolution assessment and validationüKey business analysis tools and techniques·Technical proficiency necessary to effectively gather and document software and web development requirements.·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at various organizational levels, including external clients in leadership roles.·Strong critical thinking, questioning, and active listening abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.·Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.·Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.·Familiarity with web technologies, HCI, information architecture, and user-centered design.Required Experience·A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.·At least 5 years of recent experience as a full-time Business Systems Analyst on complex web and software development projects.·A minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a software or web developer utilizing ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, MS SQL, etc.Preferred Qualifications·A CBAP designation (Certified Business Analysis Professional) is a significant advantage.If you know someone who might be interested, please consider referring them.
