Anticipating Future Opportunities:

We are actively seeking to build a pool of candidates for expected upcoming roles. This position is part-time, with an average commitment of 20-30 hours per week.

Role Overview:

As a Customer Service Agent at WestJet, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a seamless experience as they navigate the airport and board their flights. Serving as the initial point of contact, you will embody the WestJet brand and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.

Your skills are crucial in facilitating a safe and enjoyable journey by assisting guests with check-in, guiding them through self-service kiosks, preparing aircraft for timely departures, managing boarding and deplaning, welcoming new arrivals, and aiding guests with their connections. Your dedication to service will enhance the travel experience our guests have come to appreciate.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a customer-facing role is essential.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of punctuality and reliability in a safety-focused environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Physical capability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Proficient communication skills with a solid understanding of computer systems and recent experience with Windows-based applications.
  • Previous experience in the airline, travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, as our operations run 24/7.
  • Proficiency in reading English is required to succeed in training, which has evolved to include more virtual and self-directed learning components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and positive airport experience for all guests.
  • Execute guest service tasks, including processing service fees, managing reservations, issuing tickets, and assisting with mobility needs.
  • Address guest concerns, including itinerary changes and issues related to delayed or damaged baggage.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures to ensure timely operations.
  • Maintain high standards of guest service throughout all interactions.
  • Handle challenging situations with professionalism and poise.
  • Uphold uniform and appearance standards as per company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
