Job Title: Glass Installer

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installer to join our team at GTA DOOR SYSTEMS LTDS. As a Glass Installer, you will be responsible for installing glass and aluminum products in various settings, including residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure accurate fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, including estimates and material lists
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper functioning and safety
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on glass installation techniques
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, including replacing broken glass and reassembling frames
  • Supervise other workers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project, considering factors such as labor, materials, and equipment
  • Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment, following safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in glass installation or a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 hours per week
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding work, requiring standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and bending, crouching, and kneeling
Own Tools/Equipment:
  • Tools and safety equipment/gear, including safety glasses/goggles
