  • Perform technical tasks related to the organization and operation of documentation centers, such as libraries or document management centers, to ensure efficient document retrieval and management.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff involved in document management and to users of documentation centers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process received or acquired documentation in a documentation center by conducting research, classification, cataloging, and indexing of documents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in updating the classification system and developing procedures for document classification, loan, circulation, digitization, conservation, and destruction, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Train users on document classification systems, management software, retrieval systems, center rules, and procedures, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Handle document lending and circulation, respond to user requests, prepare bibliographies, and assist in group activities, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Participate in document evaluation, pruning, conservation, and destruction according to established policies, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of documentation.
  • Monitor budget allocation for the department, purchase documents, supplies, and equipment, manage subscriptions, and renewals, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Produce lists and statistics on document services as needed, providing valuable insights for decision-making and improvement.
  • Use computer and necessary software, conduct internet research, and assist staff in software usage, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools.
  • May train less experienced technicians and coordinate support staff in technical operations, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Perform any other related task as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
