Job Title: Adults Data Analyst

Veterans Lighting. Inc. dba Veterans Electrical Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support their Marketing & Communications (Marcom) reports by optimizing SQL codes, building ETL solutions, and maintaining data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Optimize SQL Codes: Design, develop, and optimize SQL codes to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Build ETL Solutions: Develop and maintain ETL solutions in Databricks and SSMS for Marcom reports, ensuring data quality and integration.
  • Review and Develop Code: Review and develop code used by department data analysts, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Integrate Data: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Maintain Data Pipelines: Maintain data pipelines to process and transform raw data, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Identify and fix technical issues with redundancy, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Support Data Analysts: Support data analysts with data knowledge and debugging, ensuring efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Specialists: Collaborate with various specialists to design and document data integration flows, ensuring data quality and integration.
  • Troubleshoot SQL Jobs: Troubleshoot SQL jobs, document work, and execute deployments, ensuring efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Design and Implement Data Models: Design and implement data models to support business needs, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for data issues, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist Stakeholders: Assist stakeholders in accessing necessary data, ensuring efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Ensure data quality through monitoring and validation, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Create or Update Complex Power BI Datasets: Create or update complex Power BI datasets, ensuring efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Improve Power BI Dataset Performance: Improve Power BI dataset performance, ensuring efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Write Codes in DAX and Power Query: Write codes in DAX and Power Query, ensuring efficient data analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 Years in Data Management and Analysis: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and analysis.
  • 5 Years Experience with SQL: 5 years of experience with SQL for RDBMS like Azure SQL and MS SQL Server.
  • 2 Years Experience with Databricks: 2 years of experience with Databricks.
  • 2 Years Experience with Power BI: 2 years of experience with Power BI (including DAX, Power Query).
  • Experience with Data Warehouses: Experience with data warehouses in star and snowflake schema.
  • Experience with Data Modeling and Release Management: Experience with data modeling and release management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience Managing Marketing Data: Experience managing marketing data (e.g., Google Analytics, SAP, Eloqua).
  • Experience Working in Large Organizations: Experience working in large organizations.
  • Experience Using GIT Versioning: Experience using GIT versioning.

This role involves a hybrid work setup in Montreal and requires 2 years of experience in marketing data analysis, data analytics, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
