Clinical Assistant

Medicentres Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Aide to join our team. As a Clinical Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and physicians, while executing on the organization's strategic objectives as it relates to clinic operations and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Front Desk Operations: Greet and register patients, initiate forms, create billings, and collect payment for uninsured services.
- Patient Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare patients for physician, and perform diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician.
- Medical Procedures: Assist with minor surgical procedures, pelvic examinations/IUD's, and perform COVID rapid antigen testing.
- Administrative Tasks: Accurately chart medical procedures or interventions performed in the patient chart, follow standards of cleanliness and safety, and schedule and notify patients of appointments.
- Support Functions: Scan patient documents, open mail, receive faxes, and distribute appropriately, complete daily, weekly, and monthly chore lists, and understand physician profiles and execute on requests.
- Education: A medical degree from a school of medicine listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Exams: Successful completion of the MCCEE (Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination) or MCCQE 1/MCCQE2 (Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination).
- Skills: Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills, excellent clinical and customer service and organizational skills, ability to handle confidential information in compliance with the relevant provincial privacy legislation, and strong computer skills including Excel.
- Certifications: CPR – Health Care Provider BLS.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, ability to balance and manage workload tasks, ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
