Bakery Assistant Job Description

Eldho's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes to meet the high standards of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Prepare special orders
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Draw up production schedules
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
