Job Summary
The University of Ottawa is seeking a qualified Professor of Taxation to teach a part-time course in the Fall 2024 semester. The successful candidate will have a strong background in taxation and teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a part-time course in taxation to students at the University of Ottawa
- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and exams
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Stay up-to-date with changes in taxation laws and regulations
Requirements
- Master's degree in taxation or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- Recent professional experience in taxation
- Teaching experience, preferably in taxation
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) and a Master's or Ph.D. degree (preferred)
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to work on a part-time basis, teaching a course in taxation. The teaching method will be delivered in person, and the candidate should be able to adapt to changes in teaching or work methods due to health measures or other reasons.
