About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian - Nutrition Specialist to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a key member of our health services team, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition advice and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' nutritional status and develop personalized intervention strategies to promote optimal health and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients with complex nutritional needs.
- Develop and implement nutrition education programs and workshops to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and provide recommendations for patients with specific dietary needs, such as diabetes, heart disease, or obesity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Ordre des diététistes nutritionnistes du Québec.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
