Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Edson Healthcare Centre. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations and quality control functions of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize laboratory operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Provide technical advice and support to laboratory staff, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory procedures and results.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EPIC/Beaker experience.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
