Exterior Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our exterior systems.
Key Responsibilities- Process Design and Improvement: Apply technical knowledge and expertise to design and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring robust and efficient production.
- Manufacturing Performance Management: Manage manufacturing performance deliverables, including implementation of continuous improvement suggestions, scrap reduction initiatives, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvements.
- Technical and Manufacturing Solutions: Provide technical and manufacturing solutions to support research and development, organizational projects, and services for continuous improvement and risk reduction.
- Training and Development: Assist in training production personnel on operating new or existing tooling, equipment, and processes.
- Quality Management: Complete all required APQP-related activities, ECR processes, PRP (8D), and other Quality Management System requirements as needed.
- Capacity Planning and Efficiency Improvement: Conduct time studies, identify capacity constraints, and opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain documentation for PFMEA, operator instructions, rework, change-over procedures, and continuous improvement programs.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate, lead, and participate in various multi-disciplined teams to address and fulfill corporate objectives associated with manufacturing process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitment.
- Education: Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree/Diploma, or applicable trade.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with specialized knowledge and know-how.
- Skills: Proficient in hands-on process troubleshooting, ability to work independently, and draw from experience in all aspects of the job assigned.
