Role Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit will play a vital role in delivering advanced clinical care to infants, children, and adolescents requiring critical interventions. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and managing the clinical care of pediatric patients in critical condition.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
  • Engaging in educational and research initiatives to enhance pediatric critical care practices.
  • Participating in the development of policies and procedures relevant to pediatric critical care.
  • Exhibiting leadership in nursing practice and fostering communication among healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Practitioner Certification.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
  • Minimum of five years of pediatric nursing experience, including three years in pediatric critical care.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in pediatric critical care nursing.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and family-centered care.
