Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Fraser Coast Transport Ltd. as a Long Haul driver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across long distances.
  • Ensure the safe and secure transportation of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain the condition of the vehicle and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including tire checks, brake adjustments, and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics and timely delivery of goods.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a valid driver's abstract.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in long-haul trucking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of long-haul driving.
