About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sawmill Labourer to join our team at Ben Hokum and Son Limited. As a Sawmill Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of woodworking machines and equipment to ensure efficient production and quality control.
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Clean and maintain machines and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the sawmill.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Sawmill environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required.
