About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our team at GFR Ingredients Inc. in a permanent position. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process and package food products, ensuring high-quality output and adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery: You will be responsible for operating multi-functional process control machinery and single-function machines to process and package food products.
  • Perform corrective machine adjustments: You will need to perform routine maintenance and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record production information: You will be responsible for accurately recording production data, including production levels, quality control, and any issues that may arise.
  • Observe and verify processing conditions: You will need to monitor gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to ensure that processing conditions are met.
  • Clean and maintain equipment: You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Inform supervisor of issues: You will need to inform your supervisor of any mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: You must have equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Work environment: You must be willing to work in a noisy, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated environment.
  • Work setting: You must be willing to relocate and work in a food processing plant.
