Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Nature Kindergarten Program

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing early learning experiences and environments that support learning through play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement early learning experiences and environments that support learning through play
  • Guide play and document children's progress
  • Work collaboratively with the school team and Kindergarten teachers
  • Plan inquiry-based programming that follows the Alberta Early Learning and Care Framework (FLIGHT)
  • Provide an enriched environment that supports the God-given gifts and talents of the child
  • Communicate with families to share child's experiences and developmental growth
  • Provide personal and physical care
  • Provide social and language development support

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Early Childhood Curriculum Studies Degree, Early Childhood Diploma, or equivalent
  • Early Childhood Supervisor Certification
  • Three years of directly related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of early learning specialization, including child development, communication, emergent curriculum and environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English is an asset
  • Knowledge of programming for children with Individual Program Plans
  • Knowledge of multimedia, technology and equipment, Microsoft programs including excel, and Google Suites
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with school teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence decisions
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information
  • Strong consultation, facilitation and needs assessment skills
  • Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
