About the Role

MityBilt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement of materials, to ensure efficient and timely production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing:
    • Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.
    • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and reliable supply.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock without overstocking.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and obsolescence.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Address any issues or discrepancies with orders, deliveries, and invoices.
    • Assess supplier performance and develop improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, production scheduling, or a similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of supply chain and production processes.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory management and production scheduling software.
    • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office-based with regular visits to production areas and occasional travel to supplier sites.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the need to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-time delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Accuracy of production schedules.
  • Inventory turnover rate.
  • Supplier performance metrics.
  • Production efficiency and output rates.
Additional Requirements
  • Certification in supply chain management or production and inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is desirable.
