Senior Insurance Broker

Echelon 56 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Insurance Broker to join our team. As a Senior Insurance Broker, you will play a key role in providing expert insurance advice and services to our clients, ensuring their financial security and peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a senior onsite insurance professional to assist other insurance professionals and supervisors as needed, supporting learning and growth for the team.
- Provide property, casualty, travel medical, and auto insurance services and professional insurance advice to existing clients and prospects through multiple forms of communication within broker authority level.
- Provide insurance advice, handle policy updates, and input changes into the insurance software while documenting them in the agency management system.
- Log in to the customer assistance telephone queue and provide assistance regarding quotes, changes, amendments, and inquiries for new business and existing clients.
- Using proper questioning and sales techniques, provide property insurance quotations and apply all appropriate pre-qualification and underwriting guidelines while using evaluation software.
- Educate the client by explaining the difference in coverage along with special limitations provided by each insurance provider and packages.
- Assist in improving customer retention and service levels through first call resolution and direct customer contact.
- Adhere to all legal insurance requirements, Insurance Act, and Insurance Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrate daily the Core Values & Behaviours / Service Principles of Echelon 56 and promote all Echelon 56 products and partnerships.
- Accept payments according to procedures and processes endorsements as required.
- Ensure open communication with all underwriting companies and forward all pertinent documents.
- Closes and balances cash drawer as required.
- Meet the expectations of a Broker Audit and Quality Assurance program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in insurance or business-related field preferred.
- General Insurance License Level 2 or higher from the Insurance Council of Manitoba.
- Strong analytical, customer service, and sales skills.
- Working knowledge of a broker management system, EPIC preferred, Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of related or similar work experience within the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
