About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wealth Management Consultant to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with our affluent clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities among existing clients and prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement customized wealth management solutions to meet client needs.
Client Service and Support
  • Provide exceptional client service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives, and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of client services.
Business Development and Growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling existing clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow client relationships and increase revenue.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, and adapt business strategies accordingly.
Team Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including financial advisors, relationship managers, and other support teams.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of client services.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of business strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop tailored solutions.
    • Knowledge of financial products and services, including investment and credit products.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
