About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at Carpet Colour Centre (Red Deer) Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation for flooring installations.
  • Prepare detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure efficient installation processes.
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces, using knee kickers and other equipment as needed.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, preparing surfaces for new installations.
  • Perform direct glue-down and double-bond carpet installations, as well as install outdoor carpets and materials on counter tops and raised platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Commercial and residential installation experience.
