Maintenance Vehicle Technician

As a Maintenance Vehicle Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our transportation systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the Vehicle, adhering to strict Quality and Health & Safety procedures, and performing daily inspections of the Fleet. You'll also be responsible for train preparation, examination, and work arising involving onboard computerized equipment and working manuals. Additionally, you'll exchange or repair assets, participate in rescue operations, and report activities through a computerized maintenance management system. Your ability to coach others, work at height, and adapt to new ideas will be valuable assets to our team. If you're a certified automotive technician with a mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical background, and have experience in a rail or vehicle environment, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Vehicle in accordance with specified Quality procedures
  • Carry out work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures
  • Perform daily inspections of the Fleet
  • Prepare trains for operation, including examination and work arising involving onboard computerized equipment
  • Exchange or repair assets
  • Participate in rescue operations
  • Report activities through a computerized maintenance management system
  • Supervise and/or follow sub-contract activities
  • Adhere to Company procedures, especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety
  • Attend regular team briefings/meetings
  • Read reports and manuals as required
  • Report accidents/incidents
  • Drive company vehicles when required
  • Respect, clean, and maintain work environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience as a maintenance technician or certified automotive technician
  • Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical
  • Knowledge of rail/vehicle environment is preferable
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards
  • Ability to coach others
  • Work at height will be required
  • Work during night/weekend/Holidays will be required
