HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reporting to the Vice President of Legal Strategy, the Director of Strategy and Innovation will be responsible for crafting long-term organizational strategies and enhancing Accoravillage's service delivery. This role is pivotal in driving business transformation through the responsible and impactful integration of data, analytics, and AI, requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leadership and Communication:

• Oversee the formulation and implementation of organizational strategy.

• Provide strategic counsel and support to senior leadership.

• Direct strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Foster collaborative communication of the organization's strategy.

• Model leadership and promote a service culture aligned with organizational values.

• Ensure TR & EDI principles are integrated into decision-making processes.

Strategy and Innovation:

• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap.

• Lead the innovation of Accoravillage's service delivery.

• Oversee all strategic planning and policy functions.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to create data-driven strategic initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

• Design projects aimed at achieving high-quality outcomes.

• Engage and mentor senior leaders to embrace their roles as change sponsors.

• Conduct research and analysis of the organizational environment to drive transformation.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Prepare and present detailed reports on strategy performance.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness.

Employee Relations:

• Manage a high-performing team, cultivating an environment of innovation.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• 8-10+ years in leadership roles, preferably within the non-profit or public sector.

• Exceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire a team.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Proven experience in engaging with external stakeholders.

Desirable Qualities:

• Familiarity with laws and policies affecting Indigenous peoples.

• Experience in applying Truth and Reconciliation principles in previous roles.
