Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and quality standards, and providing excellent customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a high level of cleanliness and quality in all guest rooms and public areas.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper and other department heads to achieve hotel goals and objectives.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying new knowledge and ideas to improve housekeeping operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as hospitality or hotel management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, team members, and other departments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
