Key Responsibilities

To be eligible, you must possess:

Level 4 Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology A valid and current driving license, held for a minimum of one year, with no more than three penalty points A consistent employment and attendance record A compassionate nature, showing sensitivity to individual needs Additionally, candidates MUST have a full C1 (manual) category on their driving license and a Blue Light Driving Qualification before joining the Trust Desirable: GCSEs in Maths and English, Grade A-C (4-9) or equivalent

Job Duties

Ability to organize and initially manage the scene of incidents until additional support arrives. This may involve coordinating or managing patients, bystanders, or other responding services, along with communication with external agencies such as Police, Fire, and Coastguard. Prepare accurate dosages for medication administration. Exhibit resilience and adaptability to meet the clinical requirements of patients in emergency and urgent care environments. Capable of passing an occupational-specific fitness assessment and pre-employment medical examination. Work effectively under guidance or as part of a collaborative team. Foster effective working relationships with colleagues and the public. Experience in customer care within a healthcare setting, nursing home, or evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ensure that information sharing is conducted in compliance with information governance protocols. Document details and maintain records in accordance with the Trust's service procedures, including the use of ePCR devices and associated applications, software, etc.

A condition of employment is that until you have completed 52 weeks in the area of the Trust you have applied for, you cannot apply to join the transfer list to move to another Trust location during this period. This is to support mentorship and skill mix and ensure vacancies are planned for.
