About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Ahluwalia'z Transport Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Transportation Activities
    • Oversee the dispatch of bus drivers and monitor routes to ensure timely delivery of goods and personnel.
    • Coordinate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their tasks.
  • Manage Reports and Data
    • Prepare and analyze production and other reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
  • Train and Develop Team Members
    • Train or arrange for training to ensure that drivers and other team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations
    • Ensure that all transportation activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate Repairs and Maintenance
    • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Requisition and Order Supplies
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support transportation operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Outlook
