About Us
Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families. For 40 years, we have been committed to transforming pediatric cancer care in Ontario and beyond.
Our Mission
We are the collective voice of the pediatric cancer community and the official advisor to Ontario's Ministry of Health on children's cancer control and treatment. Our mission is to provide the best care and support to every child affected by cancer.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization and build on our past successes. The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership, deepen and expand relationships with partners, and advocate for health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the organization
- Deepen and expand relationships with partners, including the Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, and pediatric oncology centers
- Advocate for health priorities and engage with partners in government and the healthcare system
- Lead a skilled and dedicated executive team and report to a committed and collaborative volunteer Board of Directors
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a history of leadership and managerial success at the organizational and broader health system levels. They will have exceptional communication skills, a track record of successfully advocating for health priorities, and experience engaging with partners in government and the healthcare system.
