Job Summary

This is a temporary full-time position with Simcoe County, requiring a registered full-time post-secondary student to assist in road construction and maintenance labour duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and support in road construction and maintenance labour duties.
  • Provide flag person support during road construction.

Requirements

  • Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
  • Must have completed a criminal reference check from within the last 6 months.
  • Preferred area of study: civil engineering.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle.
  • Geographic knowledge of Simcoe County.
  • CSA Approved Safety Boots (minimum 8" cuff) mandatory.
  • Ability to do heavy lifting.

Position Details

  • Anticipated length: May - August 2024.
  • Salary Grade: Union/Non-Union.
