Job Description

As an Engine Sensor Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and integrating advanced engine sensors. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing engine performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and integration of critical engine-level sensors, including manifold air pressure, crankcase pressure, knock detection, and oil pressure/temperature sensors.
  • Collaborate closely with existing sensor suppliers to refine designs and explore cutting-edge technologies that elevate engine performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for high-quality sensor components from our global supply base.
  • Continuously improve sensor designs to meet evolving engine requirements and industry standards.
  • Utilize advanced quality tools like DFMEA and DVPR to ensure that sensor components adhere to stringent quality and performance criteria.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate sensors into engine systems.
  • Take the lead in troubleshooting and resolving sensor-related issues, ensuring optimal engine performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, providing a strong foundation in principles relevant to engine sensor development.
  • Solid understanding of internal combustion (IC) engines, including their mechanics and operations.
  • Experience with advanced quality tools and methodologies such as DFMEA and DVPR, ensuring the development of reliable and high-quality sensors.
  • Proficiency in NX CAD and familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter for efficient design and data management.
  • Background in component release within an OEM or a large Tier 1 company, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Competency in Microsoft Suite for effective project documentation, analysis, and communication.
  • Experience in sensor technology or engine diagnostics, highlighting specialized expertise in engine sensor applications.
