About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Swift Connect INC. As an Early Childhood Education Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children in our child care centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster creativity, imagination, and learning, including storytelling, singing, and educational outings.
  • Child Support: Assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral issues, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for children.
  • Environment and Safety: Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and secure environment for children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Program Planning: Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours, ensuring a seamless transition between childcare and education.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification, as well as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Meet the requirements for a criminal record check, medical exam, and immunization records.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Demonstrate the ability to perform repetitive tasks, maintain attention to detail, and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Exhibit punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, a team player attitude, and a strong sense of values and ethics.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
