Essential Functions

  • Effectively manage daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are meticulously cleaned and maintained according to established protocols.
  • Develop and implement efficient work schedules for the housekeeping team, optimizing resource allocation based on event requirements and venue needs.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Proactively identify areas requiring attention and delegate tasks accordingly, ensuring seamless coverage across all designated work zones.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are readily available, submitting timely requisitions for replenishment as needed.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from staff, guests, or vendors, providing clear and helpful information regarding housekeeping services.
  • Maintain meticulous records of work orders, cleaning logs, and other relevant documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily accessible.
  • Champion a culture of safety within the team, enforcing all applicable safety protocols and conducting regular training sessions to reinforce best practices.

Experience Required

Minimum four years of proven experience in housekeeping operations, including two years in a supervisory role. Hotel or event venue experience is highly desirable.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of safe work practices and general cleaning procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and concise interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and guests.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, ensuring efficient task prioritization and completion within established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in operating various cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, and other relevant tools.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This position involves frequent walking, standing, and bending throughout the shift. The ability to work in diverse environments, potentially exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels, is essential. The role may also require handling cleaning chemicals and adhering to strict safety protocols.
