About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Yarrow Limited Partnership. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide basic care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor Patient Health: Take patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the patient's room and surrounding areas are clean and safe, and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments, and communicate with patients and families in a respectful and empathetic manner.
  • Administer First Aid: Provide basic first aid in emergency situations, and administer medications as directed by the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate program.
  • Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Health Care Aide Certificate, and a current criminal record check.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
