Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team at PALFINGER AG. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory and shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and prioritize deliveries to generate pick slips in accordance with delivery requirements and inventory availability.
  • Pick orders from inventory and assemble ordered components for packing.
  • Verify item references and quantities for accuracy and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Check components on order as packed in to shipping container and verify against pick slip.
  • Secure shipping containers to protect damage or loss of components during transit.
  • Pick kits as specified by production order pick slips.
  • Generate pick slips and delivery notes in accordance with work instructions.
  • Advise supervisors of transactions requiring data adjustment.
  • Enter shipment details into shipping system and generate required documents and labels.
  • Arrange for assigned carriers to pick up shipments and load shipments onto transport vehicles.
  • Maintain required licenses and test requirements to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain stocks of shipping supplies and advise supervisors when replacement supplies are required.
  • Maintain warehouse assembly area and shipping area in accordance with Health and Safety policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years warehouse experience required.
  • Previous experience in an automotive parts role is preferred.
  • Understanding of warehouse processes and forklift experience required.
  • Able to complete in-house forklift license requirement within 4 weeks of start date.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of MS Office Applications required.
  • Able to understand basic input functions for SAP system after training.
  • Detail-oriented with a familiarization of quality and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills required.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
