Job Summary:
As a Senior Environmental Consultant at Trinity Consultants, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality client relationships through sales, project management, and personnel management in a dynamic environmental consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the technical accuracy and quality of project-related work, guiding staff to achieve efficient progress and timely completion of consulting projects within established budgets.
- Coordinate project team efforts to ensure timely completion, invoicing review, and project budget maintenance, promoting client stewardship by attending to client needs and encouraging staff to identify business opportunities.
- Develop sales proposals for existing and prospective clients, identifying new marketing opportunities and assisting business development staff with literature development, communication, and follow-up.
- Communicate management decisions and goals to staff to ensure alignment with company objectives, ensuring proper utilization and billing of consulting staff.
- Monitor and evaluate employees' performance of goals and performance standards, directly supervising 1-3 employees in Environmental Consulting.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science.
- At least two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regulatory, industry, and technical knowledge relating to permit applicability, emission inventories, air dispersion modeling, and federal and state permitting requirements.
- Computer literacy, including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft office software package.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
