Position Overview
The Inventory Control Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our retail environment. This position is essential for overseeing the inventory management systems and processes within the store. Additionally, the Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for mentoring and developing a dedicated stock team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance the flow of merchandise receipts, ensuring timely processing and prioritization.
- Organize the backroom in accordance with company standards, making seasonal updates as necessary.
- Oversee replenishment processes to guarantee a well-stocked sales floor with a variety of styles, colors, and sizes.
- Monitor and communicate any changes or issues related to inventory, such as sell-through rates and stock levels.
- Execute inventory-related procedures, including handling damages, transfers, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate the supply ordering process to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Lead the recruitment and development of stock associates, including interviewing, onboarding, and performance assessments.
- Support the physical inventory and cycle count processes, implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage.
- Assist in visual merchandising efforts and uphold presentation standards in a flagship retail setting.
- Contribute to event preparation and execution, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the sales area and stockroom.
- Stay informed about product and service updates to enhance customer experience.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, contributing to the overall success of the store.
- Adhere to all Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
- Support the management of the sales floor and sales team as directed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a retail setting, preferably in apparel.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage effectively in a retail atmosphere.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and approachable demeanor.
- Capability to understand and address customer needs.
- Proven ability to gain support for ideas and initiatives.
