We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Registration Clerk. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient collection of information during the registration process, adhering to provincial client registry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Work collaboratively with the Registration Services Coordinator to ensure smooth registration processes
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping
- Stay up-to-date with organizational policies, procedures, and best practices
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program
- Completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course
- Recent experience in a patient reception/care area, preferably in registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email
- Accurate keyboarding/typing skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
This role requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance. The successful candidate must also complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as required.
