Job Summary:

Poundmaker's Lodge Treatment Centres is seeking a Casual Dishwasher/Dining Room Steward to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in preparing balanced meals for our facility, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wash and sanitize all flatware, dishes, pots, and utensils used by the facility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station, kitchen, and dining area.
  • Ensure the dining room is well-stocked with supplies before, during, and after meal service.
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning the dining room, including table arrangement, wiping surfaces, and floor care.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to assist with meal prep and serving.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Support the kitchen staff during special events or programs as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous kitchen or dining room experience is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures or willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to Indigenous culture and the mission of Poundmaker's Lodge.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
