About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Millwork Estimator to join our Commercial Woodworking Division at the Diamond Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate cost estimates for woodworking projects, taking into account materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating: Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for woodworking projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns, fostering strong client relationships.
- Vendor Negotiation: Source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain the best materials and services while maintaining profitability.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost reduction measures to ensure projects remain financially viable.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including architects, designers, and construction teams, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have a strong understanding of woodworking projects and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates.
