Position Overview

Title: Infrastructure Developer

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and implementing systems for Halogen's Cloud Management System and associated solutions.
  2. Integrating essential SaaS infrastructure and development components.
  3. Collaborating with various Halogen teams to enhance internal and external solutions.
  4. Contributing to the SaaS Platform team at Halogen through:
    1. Utilizing the Spring Framework and Java for coding.
    2. Engaging with Big Data Infrastructure, specifically Spark and Hadoop.
    3. Expanding the reporting capabilities and framework.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in developing web-based applications using Java/J2EE.
  2. Proficiency in shell scripting (BASH) and familiarity with Unix operating systems.
  3. Demonstrated experience with:
    1. Application servers such as JBoss and Jetty.
    2. Database management, particularly with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
    3. Development environments like STS/Eclipse or similar IDEs.
    4. Knowledge of JQuery, Spark/Hadoop, and Nagios plugins/deployments is preferred.
