Role Summary: We are looking for dedicated Childcare Support Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidates will assist in creating a nurturing and secure environment for young children, ensuring their overall well-being during various activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist early childhood educators in executing educational plans and preparing materials for activities.
- Engage in daily classroom routines, including organized play, circle time, and cleanup.
- Monitor and document children's daily habits, including meals, naps, and restroom use.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular upkeep and organization.
- Encourage a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that promotes social and emotional development.
- Set up spaces for different activities throughout the day.
- Help in preparing progress reports and participate in discussions with parents regarding children's development.
- Contribute to routine classroom assessments and communicate any concerns with the leadership team.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary education.
- Possession of a valid BC ECEA license.
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is advantageous.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and attention to detail.
