As a Transport Specialist I, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of various items, including mail, packages, medical supplies, equipment, food, and linen, in compliance with AHS standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport a variety of products across multiple routes while adhering to established schedules and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • Perform routine tasks such as logging mileage, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and conducting pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Report any vehicle defects or malfunctions to management promptly.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A completed Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • A valid Class 5 Alberta Operator's Licence.
  • A valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • At least one year of relevant experience in transportation.
  • Certification in material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with Oracle systems.
  • Knowledge of health care supplies and equipment.
