About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Cabinetmaker to join our team at Whitby Furniture Outlet. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans and specifications to ensure accurate production of furniture pieces
  • Trim joints and assemble parts to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed
  • Sand and finish wooden surfaces, applying veneer, stain, or polish to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Estimate costs and materials for production
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture making or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods
