Compassionate Geriatric Nurse

Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Services, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to oversee the care of elderly clients in a Geriatric Day Hospital setting, utilizing a client and family-centered approach. You will also coordinate both outpatient and inpatient geriatric services.
In this role, you will serve as a clinical resource for fellow nurses and healthcare professionals, assisting in the planning and delivery of care for elderly patients. You will share your knowledge and expertise through consultations, training sessions, and presentations.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shifts - 08:00 to 16:00

- Three years of recent clinical experience in a specialized geriatric setting, or an accredited gerontology certificate with related experience.
- Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices within a client-centered care model.
- Comprehensive understanding of geriatrics and related nursing standards.
- Ability to assess and treat common health issues in geriatric clients.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Capability to manage workload independently and prioritize client care.
