Position Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00 am.
Compensation: $20.00/hr

Advantage Personnel is actively seeking an Accounting Assistant for our esteemed client in Dartmouth. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex general ledger reconciliations;
- Perform bank reconciliations;
- Utilize Sage 50 accounting software;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements, along with other necessary financial documentation;
- Handle monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks for the finance department, including journal entry postings to the general ledger and responsibilities related to the monthly accounting cycle;
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports;
- Maintain internal control measures for all vendor and customer accounts concerning invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections;
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities;

- Professional demeanor with a courteous attitude;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Experience with Sage 50 software;

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines;
- Completion of a Business Administration Program with a focus on accounting;
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
