Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

BAR BURRITO is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Train Staff: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies: Accurately estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring that all necessary items are available.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff, ensuring that all team members meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Maintain high-quality food and service standards, ensuring that all customers receive an exceptional dining experience.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that all financial resources are utilized effectively.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for future planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Work Environment:

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, move around the kitchen, and lift heavy objects.

Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
