We are seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Senior Project Manager at BEL Contracting, a division of NorLand Limited, reporting directly to the General Manager. The Senior Project Manager will spearhead a team responsible for overseeing distinctive heavy civil infrastructure projects with values reaching up to $100M. This position is entirely site-based, and the selected candidate will oversee all facets of project execution, ensuring adherence to schedules, specifications, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze contracts, plans, and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and establish project requirements and milestones. Direct a project team to safely achieve project milestones, remaining within budget and meeting specifications. Oversee all dimensions of project performance, including but not limited to, initiation, safety, cost management, scheduling, quality assurance, environmental compliance, client relations, operations, scope modifications, billing, and project closure. Cultivate and maintain robust, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Engage in project pursuits and lead proposal initiatives as necessary. Mentor junior team members to enhance their professional development. Manage claims and modifications to project orders.Required Qualifications:
Professional Engineer designation, technical diploma, or substantial industry experience is essential. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project inception to completion in Canada. Onsite project management experience with a variety of large-scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects, including highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures. Proven ability to effectively manage client development, address client issues, and provide exceptional service. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational abilities. Capacity to thrive in a collaborative team environment, where teamwork is essential for success. Strong work ethic with the ability to operate in a confidential, fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines. Valid Driver's License.This role offers a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary starting from $110,000 per annum, determined by the successful candidate's competencies, including knowledge, skills, experience, and internal pay structures. This position is also eligible for additional benefits as part of NorLand's comprehensive compensation package.
