Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at The Village of Glendale Crossing in London, Ontario. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a health care or long-term care setting. You will also assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents, ensuring we meet residents' diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Enrolled or completed the Chef training or hold a Culinary management diploma from a program that meets the standard established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Food Handlers certification
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a SMART Serve certification
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
  • Be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
  • Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets including texture modification
  • Have experience preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a health care or long-term care setting
