Role Overview
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at REDspace, you are recognized for your thoroughness, analytical mindset, and attention to detail. You leverage these attributes to rigorously test and validate every project, ensuring optimal quality while effectively communicating with team members and documenting outcomes. Staying informed about the latest devices and their functionalities is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and gather project specifications.
- Execute test cases, occasionally employing automated testing methods.
- Propose enhancements to elevate user experience.
- Document issues in designated tracking systems to provide clarity on testing outcomes and necessary improvements.
- Validate resolutions and confirm feature implementations.
- Engage in various testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing, smoke, regression, and ad-hoc testing.
- Compile and review test result summaries with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage through manual test cases.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a software testing role is preferred.
- Proven ability to assess software quality and refine processes.
- Experience in enterprise-level services testing/QA.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis tools such as Charles Proxy or Postman.
- Understanding of web technologies (Headers, Cookies, URL manipulation, etc.).
- Exposure to OTT devices (e.g., Roku, Chromecast).
- Development experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to contextual differences.
- Familiarity with quality assurance tools, ticketing systems, and project management software like Jira.
- Comprehensive knowledge of website architecture, mobile applications, set-top boxes, and online gaming.
- Understanding of quality assurance best practices and software testing methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with developers, project managers, creative directors, and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar industry or with comparable products.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Appium.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
